Nature in my garden

I’m a novice bird spotter. I am just becoming accustomed to bird song and familiarising myself with the wildlife in my back garden. There’s a lot to see if you just take the time to enjoy it. During lockdown I have had time in abundance.

I decided to construct a bird feeder to attract as many visitors as I can. I got some empty pastic bottles, cut holes for access and sticks for perches. An old flowerpot as a base held down by bricks, the holes will attract a few more insects for my avian pals to feed on. I made a macrame holder for the suet balls and used a plastic salad container for a bird bath. Now I just have to wait until a few birds enjoy my efforts. The robin has been the only visitor so far.
